Welcome 

Thanks for your interest in my site. Though the main focus here is my writing, you’ll also find evidence for my other interests.  My overarching goal is to share anything I think might be of interest or help to others.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we have seven children, ages 5 to 25. I grew up in Ft Worth, Texas, spent a few years in the Virginia countryside, got my MDiv in Philadelphia, spent a few years in Franklin, Tennessee, and am now back in beautiful central Virginia. Our family’s days (with our last three boys) are filled with reading, cooking and eating together, caring for our chickens and Mini Nubian goats, gardening, and working to build community and help revitalize our historic town of Orange, Virginia. If you’re in town, you’ll soon be able to visit our new coffee shop on Main Street.

I have wanted to write since I was a teenager, but it’s taken almost 30 years for life to cooperate and for me to have the courage and content to share with others. I hope you’ll find something here that makes your life better.
